April 6, 2022 Family message
Dear Mukilteo School District families,
LAST CALL FOR SHARING YOUR THOUGHTS
Thanks to the more than 700 of you who have already participated in the ThoughtExchange which will help inform the district’s strategic plan. There is still time to share your thoughts through this ThoughtExchange before it closes the night of April 10. You can share one or multiple thoughts in response to the question, “What are the most important skills and experiences our students need to prepare them for success in learning and life?” You can even skip sharing your thoughts and just view and rate other people’s thoughts. Come back and participate again and again.
The exchange is available in over 50 languages including Arabic, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. It is open to all students, staff, families and community members!
LAST CALL FOR STUDENT AND FAMILY WELL-BEING SURVEY
Last month, we shared with you that we are inviting staff, students (grades 3-12) and families to participate in a social emotional and well-being survey again this spring. The survey is open through April 8. The survey should only take 15 to 20 minutes to complete and is available in several languages including English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Korean, Arabic and Vietnamese.
We encourage you to have your children take the survey too if they are in grades 3-12. The access code is the student’s ID number.
Thank you for helping us get a sense of how people are doing and how we can better support students and families.
SPRING BREAK APRIL 11-15
Schools will be closed for Spring Break April 11-15. Have a fun and safe break!
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL NOW FRIDAY, JUNE 17!
Because of the school closure on January 3 due to snow, one make-up day has been added to the end of this school year. Thursday, June 16, will be a regular school day and Friday, June 17, will be an early dismissal for all students. The revised year-at-a-glance calendar is updated on the district website.
