Welcome! My name is Bethenee Grant Engelsvold, and I currently support students and staff as the Elementary Support Specialist (ESS) here at Picnic Point Elementary. I have worked in the Mukilteo School District since 2016 and iI have worked in both public and private school settings since 1996. My prior experience includes working as a school psychologist, directing a district mentoring program, and serving as a district behavior specialist. I have degrees both in school psychology and in mental health counseling, and I have worked for several years providing assessment, intervention and crisis response support to both children and adults. In addition to my work here in the district, I also teach undergraduate and graduate courses as an adjunct professor at Seattle Pacific University and Northwest University, and have provided supervision as a clinical adjunct instructor at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Whether we are meeting in a physical school building or virtually, I would like your children to know that there is always an adult at the school who will listen and help them be their best selves. As an ESS, my primary responsibility is to promote the personal, social and academic welfare and development of all students. I look forward to offering support to students, staff, families and community!
