    Hello Families!!!

    We have made it through our first FULL FIVE day week of school!!  Thank you to everyone for all you are doing supporting your children through distance learning.  This is not easy and we appreciate your collaboration and communication with us.  Staying connected is so important! 

    In two weeks we will have our second material distribution.  This will include materials all students will need for distance learning for the month of October.  Remember as long as we are in distance learning we will continue to provide required supplies for instruction the first week of the month.  Below is the schedule for October distribution.  You’ll notice that we will not have staff outside for curbside pickup during scheduled synchronous learning times (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) or on Wednesdays.  However, if this is the most convenient time for your family you may still call the front office between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM and someone will bring you out a bag for your child(ren). 

     

    • Monday, September 28th from 12:00 – 4:00 PM: KG/1st Grades
    • Tuesday, September 29th from 12:00 – 4:00 PM: 2nd/3rd Grades
    • Thursday, October 1st from 12:00 – 4:00 PM 4th/5th Grades
    • Friday, October 2nd from 12:00 – 4:00 PM ALL Grades

     

    TECHNOLGOY TIP

    If you have having technology issues here are the first two steps we recommend all families trying. 

    1. Reboot - turn your computer all the way off and back on again.  Just shutting the device and opening it again will not turn off the device.  You need to actually turn off and then turn back on the device.
    2. Make sure that you are using Google Chrome to access Schoology and Zoom.  If you are still having Schoology issues please call the technology line or our front office.  If you are still having Zoom issues please email your child’s teacher directly.

  • Weekly Friday Blurb – September 11th

    Hi Families,

    Welcome to our second edition of our Weekly Friday Blurb.  Remember this is weekly communication from me that you can find via our Odyssey Dojo page, Blackboard, and on our school web page.  You can put a comment or question in the Dojo section, I do my best to get back to you as soon as possible. 😊 

    This week concludes our family engagement conferences.  I know that our teachers have LOVED getting to connect with you and start to build a relationship and partnership to set up your child for success.  These conferences have been a wonderful way to really get to know your child and you, so THANK YOU so much for participating.  If you missed or haven’t scheduled your engagement conference please reach out to your child’s teacher.  It is so important to us that all teachers have the opportunity to connect will all of their student’s families.

    SCHEDULES

    Monday is the start of our first week of school without engagement conferences.  Below/attached is the schedule for when you can expect synchronous learning to take place at Odyssey by grade level, in addition to what time office hours are for teacher’s on Wednesdays.  Office hours is a time that you can reach out to your teacher and expect a semi immediate response.  You can always reach out to your child’s teacher ANY TIME!!  At Odyssey we value getting back to families with 24 hours on working days.  We’re here and happy to help!!
